A new, improved remanufactured transmission program will allow you to help your customers, and have peace of mind where quality is concerned.

Ever panic when you realize your customer’s vehicle needs a replacement Subaru automatic transmission? You need it quickly, but you also want confidence in the supplier. You want the security of knowing you’ll get the right product, remanufactured properly, that won’t cause you numerous headaches during the replacement, and with serious technical support. Also, you want a warranty to protect both you and your customer.

Subaru of America has the answers. A new, improved program for remanufactured automatic transmissions provides the confidence and security you need to quickly and efficiently get your customer back on the road. Simply contact your Subaru N.E.W Horizons dealer for details on the new program. He or she will help you determine which automatic transmission you need.

Autocraft Industries remanufactures automatic transmissions for Subaru covering vehicles from 1990-2006, including Legacy, Impreza, Forester, Outback and Baja. The 2005 and newer 5EAT transmissions are under development and will be included in the program when available.

Autocraft replaces all seals, gaskets and other parts such as hypoid gears, valve body springs, friction plates, bushings and filters. All reclaimed parts are inspected and verified to meet Subaru specifications before they are used in a remanufactured automatic transmission. All new parts used in the process are supplied by Subaru.

It is highly recommended that you refer to the correct Subaru Service Manual for the specific vehicle before and during replacement of an automatic transmission. Also recommended are the following Subaru Technician’s Reference Booklets, which cover the individual transmissions:

  • 4EAT Four-speed Automatic Transmission (Module 302), item #MSA5PO130C
  • 4EAT Four-speed Automatic Transmission Phase II (Module 304), item #MSA5PO141C
  • Five-speed Automatic Transmission (Module 305), item #MSA5PO474C

All the above information is available from your Subaru N.E.W. Horizons Dealer, or for a fee on the Subaru Technical Information System website at http://techinfo.subaru.com.

Repairing your customer’s vehicle with a Genuine Subaru Remanufactured Automatic Transmission is the cost-effective way to get the owner back on the road quickly and satisfied with the service you provided. It’s also the best way to have a confident and positive impact on your shop’s profit line.
