Emission inspection programs have been springing up all around the country, and emission repairs have become an integral part of our industry as a result. Here in Colorado, we’ve been at it longer than most states. But even after 15 years of repairing emission failures, it still surprises me how troublesome a diagnosis can be. Such was the case with a customer’s 1988 Chevrolet Spectrum. It wasn’t a terribly tough diagnosis, but it had multiple symptoms that kept me digging until all the problems were solved.
