Import Service Article ImageBack in 1987, when Import Service was getting started, there was a clear delineation between “import cars” and “domestic cars.” Import cars had metric fasteners (except for those unusual British jobs) and domestic cars had “standard” fasteners. Many shops founded their business upon working only on one type or the other. Their decision simplified matters – it was unnecessary to keep more than one set of specialized fasteners or tools in inventory.
