Why don’t they teach even the simplest aspects of auto mechanics in driver’s ed, or require some modicum of knowledge before somebody can get a license? You hear it in every parking lot every day: the sound of power steering locked at the bump stop, either hissing through the pressure relief valve if all’s well or squealing the loose drivebelt.
