Computers are very useful, and they can quickly go from helpful to addictive. If there’s more than one person working in your business, having just one computer can create a management bottleneck. Even if you work alone, having two computers – one in the office and one in the shop – can save you time and shoeleather. Also, computers age faster than mayflies. Improvements in hardware and software capabilities turn yesterday’s state-of-the-art machine into today’s garage-sale special. New developments in business-critical software can sometimes force you to buy a new computer just to stay current.
