If you’ve done any work on Saabs, you’re already familiar with the 900’s unique drivetrain layout. No other car since the BMC Mini has had the transaxle mounted directly to the bottom of theengine block. Fortunately, the Saab design provides separate lubrication for the engine and transaxle.
